Upper Mustang Trek

Trip Overview

Trekking in Upper Mustang is a rare privilege where you will get an opportunity to explore the lifestyle, culture and tradition of the people hidden from the outside world for decades. Upper Mustang also known as the Last Forbidden Kingdom of Nepal was restricted to the outside world until the 90’. Isolated from the outside world, the area was able to evolve within its own distinctive culture and rich traditions. The trek to Upper Mustang takes you into the pristine, isolated trans-Himalayan plateau exploring a vibrant mix of Bon culture, impressive rock formation, ancient Buddhist monasteries along with the breathtaking view of Himalayan landscapes.
