Trip Overview
Tilicho lake situated at an altitude of 4919m in the Manang district, is considered one of the highest lakes in the world. The lake is fed by the glacial melt from the Annapurna and the Thorong peak, it is also important from the religious point of view as many Hindu pilgrims around the world journey to visit this lake. The view along the way is astonishing, the trail passes through several villages, over gorgeous hills, beautiful mountains cape, gorges, waterfalls, temples and monasteries along the way.

Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at the airport our guide/representative will meet you and transfer to your designated hotel. As there are no activities planned for today, you may either enjoy the evening at leisure or take a self guided tour around the tourist market of Thamel.

Day 02
Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today in the first half of the day we will visit some of the major UNESCO World Heritage sites, this includes the Swayambhunath temple, the oldest Buddhist monument in the valley and Boudanath, the largest Stupa in Nepal. Next we will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, situated at the heart of the ancient city of Kathmandu, full of ancient history, culture and architecture. Later in the evening we will spend planning and preparing for the trek.

Day 03
Drive to Beshisahar (830m/7-8hrs)
Start early as we have a long drive to Besisahar(190kms) from Kathmandu. Drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway to Dumre and follow the narrow road along the Marshyandi river to Besisahar. Along the way we get to get more familiar with the countryside of Nepal, we will pass through several villages, farmlands with beautiful mountain scenarios to Besisahar.

Day 04
Trek to Bahundanda (1270m/5 hrs)
In the beginning the trail is a gradual walk along the bank of the Marshyandi river enjoying the beautiful view. The later part of the trek is a steep climb towards Bahundanda with beautiful mountain views.

Day 05
Trek to Chemje(1400m/6hrs)
The trail begins on a high ridge and rapidly descends down to the river valley lined with terraced rice fields to Syange. After crossing the suspension bridge over the Marshyangdi river, the trail climbs high above the river along steep hillside with forests of rhododendron and pine to Jagat. After a short break we countinue further and reach Chamje.

Day 06
Trek to Bagarchap (2160m/6 hrs)
Today’s hike will be along the rocky trail along the side of the Marshyangdi river towards Tal. Then we cross a valley and with some ascent and descent at some stretches arrive at Dharapani, push ourselves further for some time and finally reach Bagarchap where we halt for the night.

Day 07
Trek to Chame (2630m/6 hrs)
The trail to Chame is a steep ascent through forests off pine, spruce, hemlock, maple, and oak across several small villages until we reach Timang. From Timang it is a flat gradual walk until Chame, as we approach Chame we get the beautiful views of Annapurna II and Lamjung himal.

Day 08
Trek to Pisang (3300m/6hrs)
Leaving Chame, the trail cuts through thick tropical forest and from here the trail is steep uphill to the upper Marshyangdi valley. Following the river valley we descenddown to Lower Pisang, cross over the suspension bridge and climb up the hill to Upper Pisang, which offers beautiful views of the Annapurna II.

Day 09
Trek to Manang (3540m/6 hrs)
Today the trail ascends gradually over a forested ridge that extends across the valley. At the top of this spur is an excellent view of the manang valley below and the Tilicho lake. After a short descent we arrive at a broad valley and after crossing the river it is a short climb until we reach the village of Manang.

Day 10
In Manang (acclimatization day)
It is imperative to spend a day to acclimatize in Manang before departing to Thorung La Pass (5416m). There are several options f for a day’s hike, we can either hike to the beautiful Gangapurna Lake for a closer view of the Annapurna range and Gangapurna Peak or hike to Braga village and explore around.

Day 11
Trek to Kangsar Village (3700m/4 hrs)
After a day’s rest in Manang, we continue our journey towards Khangsar village. The path heads out of Manang along the Khangsar Khola. After crossing the Khangsar Khola, it is a short ascent to the picturesque Khangsar village also known as ‘The last village of Nepal’.

Day 12
Trek to Tilicho Base Camp(4200m/
After breakfast we continue our trek, the trail climbs steeply uphill past a the Buddhist monastery and chortens. From here climb towards the ridge where we come to an intersection where the old trial and the new trail meet. Take the new trial which is much easier and ascend to the ridge down the side valley to the bottom and cross a small stream and reach the Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 13
Exursion to Tilicho Base Camp(4200m/5-6hrs)
Today we will start very early to avoid the wind, from the Base Camp it is about 3 hours of steep uphill hike and another hour of gentle gradual ascend to reach the Lake. After we spend some time at the lake we descend the same way to the Base Camp.

Day 14
Trek to Yak Kharka (4000m/5 hrs)
After breakfast we follow a winding trial high above Khangsar village passing through the ruins of old Khangsar . From here we follow an unmarked trail which will lead us down to an old log bridge between Gumsang and Yak Kharka where you will encounter yaks grazing around in the meadow.

Day 15
Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450m/ 5 hrs)
Leaving Yak Kharka, we take a slow and gradual climb up a ridge and then descend down to the Marshyangdi. Cross over the Marshyangdi on a wooden bridge and a short ascent up to the right bank following the new trail will lead us to Thorong Phedi.

Day 16
Trek to Muktinath (3800m)-Thorong La pass (5400m) – (8 hrs)
Today we start early to reach the Thorong La pass(5416m), it is a life time experience to have crossed the famous Thorong La pass. Thorong La pass is marked by the chorten and prayer flags and also you can enjoy stunning views. After crossing the pass, it is a downhill walk towards Muktinath which is about 9kms and takes about 1.5 hrs. Muktinath is an important religious pilgrimage site for both Hindus and as well as the Buddhist.

Day 17
Trek to Jomsom (2720m/5 hrs)
Today is the last day of our trek, we descend down the trail passing through Kagbeni and Lupra and reach Jomsom in the afternoon. Rest of the day is free to pursue your own interest.

Day 18
Fly to Pokhara.
Early morning we will take a short picturesque flight to Pokhara. The view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains and the world’s deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki, is stunning. Relax the whole day in the hotel or wander around Lake Side with fascinating mountains panorama view and nature charming.
Overnight in Pokhara. -
Day 19
Pokhara to Kathmandu.
After breakfast drive to Kathmandu. Upon arrival check into the hotel and rest of the afternoon is free.

Departure
Transfer to the airport in time for your departure flight.
