Trip Overview
Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the best classic treks in the world. The Himalayan views you get of the Annapurna, Manaslu and the Dhaulagiri range provide some of the outstanding Mountain vistas you can get from across anywhere. This trek offers you much variety virtually through every type of landscapes with superb view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and the landscape changing from subtropical to alpine and to desert like landscape up the Kali Gandaki valley in just one trip.
This trek begins with a drive from Pokhara to Chame. From Chame it continues towards, Pisang, Braga and Manang with the views of the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Tilicho Peak. Continues across several villages and forests following the Marshyangdi valley towards Thorongla Pass. After crossing the pass you descend down and enter into Mustang. Visit Mutinath, and descend further down the Kali Gandaki valley past the quaint village of Marpha with stone cobbled street and apple orchards to the hot springs of Tatopani and to Poon hill that provides the best possible sunrise and sunset views.

Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at the airport our guide/representative will meet you and transfer to your designated hotel. As there are no activities planned for today, you may either enjoy the evening at leisure or take a self guided tour around the tourist market of Thamel.

Day 02
Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today in the first half of the day we will visit some of the major UNESCO World Heritage sites, this includes the Swayambhunath temple, the oldest Buddhist monument in the valley and Boudanath, the largest Stupa in Nepal. Next we will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square, situated at the heart of the ancient city of Kathmandu, full of ancient history, culture and architecture. Later in the evening we will spend planning and preparing for the trek.

Day 03
Drive to Pokhara (208km/6 hrs)
The drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara goes along river banks, local villages, farm lands and beautiful mountain scenario. Along the way we shall stop to observe the scenic spot and also to stretch our legs. On arrival check into the hotel and relax or you have the option to stroll around the Phewa lake and visit the local market.

Day 04
Pokhara-Besisahar- Chame (168kms/7-8hrs)
Today we have a long drive from Pokhara to Chame. After breakfast drive to Besisahar(3.5hrs) along the Prithivi-Besisahar and Chame Highway. En-route stop at Besisahar for lunch, after lunch switch on to a 4WD vehicle and drive to Chame along the newly opened dirt road that connects Besisahar and Manang district.

Day 05
Chame-Pisang
Today we begin the first day of our Annapurna Circuit Trek, the trail ascends gradually and takes about 5 to 6 hours to reach Pisang. The trail passes through several village like Bhartang, Dhikur Pokhari and lower Pisang. You can choose to stay overnight in Lower Pisang where there are a number of lodges and guest houses or continue to Upper Pisang.

Day 06
Pisang-Manang (3,500m/6-7hrs)
Lower Pisang to Manang is the most beautiful part of Annapurna circuit trek decorated with natural and cultural heritage. As we near Manang the climate gets cold and dry, pay a short visit to the Braga monastery, the biggest Monastery in Manang District. Enjoy the beautiful view from the Braga monastery and continue your journey. Upon crossing the wooden bridge over the Marshyangdi river finally arrive at Manang.

Day 07
In Manang (acclimatization day)
It is imperative to spend a day to acclimatize in Manang before departing to Thorung La Pass (5416m). There are several options f for a day’s hike, we can either hike to the beautiful Gangapurna Lake for a closer view of the Annapurna range and Gangapurna Peak or hike to Braga village and explore around.

Day 08
Manang-Yak Kharka (4,110m/3-4 hrs)
The trek begins from Manang, the trail first crosses over a small stream and then it is an uphill hike until the village of Tenki, situated above Manang. From here it is an uphill climb out of the Marshyangdi valley turning northwest up the valley of Jarsang Khola. After crossing a small river over a wooden bridge, the trail passes an ancient stone wall carved with scriptures on the stones through a lovely meadow and reach Yak Kharka.

Day 09
Yak kharka-Thorang Phedi: (4420m/3-4 hours)
From Thorong Phedi it is an uphill hike, after walking for sometimes we cross the suspension bridge and reach Ledar. We ascend further more passing through towering cliffs and reach Thorong Phedi, the last village before crossing the Thorong la pass.

Day 10
Thorong Phedi-Trek to Thorong La (5416m)-Muktinath (3,800m) (7-8hrs)
Today is the big day, we will be crossing the Thorong la pass. We start early to reach the Thorong La pass(5416m), it is a life time experience to have crossed the famous Thorong La pass. After crossing the pass, it is a downhill walk towards Muktinath which is about 9kms and takes about 1.5 hrs. Muktinath is an important religious pilgrimage site for both Hindus and as well as the Buddhist.

Day 11
Muktinath-Kagbeni (2800m/4hrs)
From Muktinath it is a gradual descent through a desert-like trans-Himalayan landscape across Jharkot and Khingar and finally to the medieval-looking village of Kagbeni. It’s mud houses and dark tunnels gives you the feeling that you have been transported back in time except for some modern buildings that has sprung up recently. We have a half day to explore around the village learning more about the culture and tradition of the local people.

Day 12
Kagbeni-Marpha (2670m/5-6hrs)
The trek from Kagbeni is a gradual downhill walk with some steady flat walk along the Kaligandaki River. The trail passes through Ekle Bhatti, cross over the Kaligandaki River to Syang and finally arrive at Marpha. An ethnic Thakali village known for their culture and their hospitality.

Day 13
Marpha-Kalopani (2300m/6hrs)
The trek to Kalopani passes through the Kali Gandaki valley with beautiful view of the high mountains, trees, villages and green pastures. On the way we will visit some of the villages and learn about the cultural heritage and the unique lifestyle of the Thakali people.

Day 14
Kalopani-Tatopani (1200/7-8hrs)
From Kalopani it is a steep downhill walk through subtropical forest and lush vegetation, along the way we will come across several waterfalls with the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Due to the constant drop in the altitude, we get to experience the change in the air from cool to hot and humid. Upon arrival check in to and later take a relaxing dip in one of the natural hot springs.

Day 15
Tatopani-Ghorepani (2600m/7-8hrs)
The trek to Ghorepani is a steep ascent gaining more than 1000m. The trail climbs uphill from the Gandaki river valley crossing the Durbin Dada and several small villages like Ghara, Sikha and Chitre and finally to Ghorepani.

Day 16
Ghorepani-Tikhedunga (1500m/6hrs)-Drive to pokhara (1.5hr)
Early morning hike up to Poon Hill (3210m) for sunrise view over the mountain peaks along with the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machhapuchre, Nilgiri south, Annapurna I and others. After the visit descend down for breakfast and after breakfast walk down to Nange Thati river and continue through rhododendron forest to Tikhedhunga. From Tikhedhunga hike further 2 kms to Birethanti, hop into a private jeep and drive to Pokhara.
Overnight in Pokhara. -
Day 17
Pokhara-Kathmandu
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the beautiful lake city of Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu. Upon arrival check in to your designated hotel and rest of the afternoon is free.
Overnight in Kathmandu. -
Day 18
Departure
Transfer to the airport for your final departure.
